Our core business, the financial services sector, has particular appeal for private equity investors. But there are many barriers to entering this market. This is where the know-how of SL comes into play: Thanks to our extensive national and international network, we have access to a wide variety of transactions and can thus quickly respond to market fluctuations. In doing so, we focus on small and mid capitalization companies. Given the size of these companies in terms of management, we are able to carry out in-depth checks. In addition, competition from other financial investors is very limited.

SL strives to improve the performance of its portfolio companies by actively managing them. This is the only way to ensure that investors can enjoy long-term gains. For this reason, we hold the majority required to control all of our investments. In highly regulated market situations, this approach requires that we maintain good relations with European regulators. And we did it with great success.
